V.C.A.P. VOLUNTEER CITIZENS

(626) 580-2141

If you have ever had an interest in volunteering at the police department, thought about doing something that really matters, wanted to take the first step at becoming an officer, or just wanted to give something back to your community, now is the time to become an El Monte Police Department Volunteer!

We are planning many new and exciting changes in our V.C.A.P. Program and are looking to greatly increase our staff of volunteers. The only requirements are:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 19 Years of Age
  • No Felony Convictions Requiring State Registration

Regardless of your age, physical limitations, unusual working hours, etc., I guarantee there will be something fun and interesting for you to do … something you choose to do because it interests you!

Some of the Volunteer opportunities (but not nearly all) available are: Fingerprinting, Vehicle Patrol, Transportation, Subpoena Service, Traffic Control, Records, Detective Bureau, Dispatch, Front Desk, Logging Graffiti Problems, Neighborhood Watch, Interpreting, Community Relations, Field Notification, Public Events, Data Entry, DUI Checkpoint Support, Homicide and/or Crime Scene Containment

And Much, Much, More!

For more information or to request an application, please call Coordinator Jack Wills at (626) 580-2141 or apply online at: www.volunteerpolice.com.
