PARKING ENFORCEMENT

(626)580-2158
Sergeant Richard Cano

The El Monte Police Department’s Parking Enforcement Division is an essential part of the Traffic Safety Bureau.

Parking Enforcement officers patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to enforce parking regulations.  Officers also respond to parking complaints, prepare written reports, deploy the speed board, store and impound stolen and abandoned vehicles, enforce previously-marked abandoned vehicles, and direct traffic.

Parking Enforcement Officers also assist police officers assigned to the Traffic Safety Bureau with special events, such as safety check points, DUI patrols, and any other events related to traffic safety.

Parking complaints may be called in at
(626) 580-2275 or by calling the police department’s dispatch center at (626)580-2100.
