Carlos Tamayo Male / Hispanic / 30 , 5’-10” / 190 lbs. Black Hair (possibly shaved) / Brown Eyes Possibly has a Mustache and/or Goatee Tattoos:  “Tamayo” on his back

In the early morning hours of June 12, 2001 victim Teofilo Gonzalez and another individual identified as suspect Carlos Tamayo, became involved in an argument and altercation inside “The Caribbean Club” a local restaurant / night club, located at 10631 Valley Mall, El Monte.  The fight was stopped by employees at the club, and Gonzalez and Tamayo were separated. 

A short time later Tamayo and some friends left the club.  Gonzalez reportedly followed Tamayo outside to a parking lot where he again began arguing with Tamayo who obtained a gun from a vehicle and shot Gonzalez, killing him.  Tamayo fled the location.  He reportedly left the country, possibly to an unknown location in Mexico.
