Description: Female / Caucasian / 24

 

On the morning of January 30th 1973 Betty Scales was reported as missing by her husband. A subsequent investigation indicated her husband was not involved in her disappearance and that she was forcibly taken with her vehicle from a store in South El Monte.

On February 1st, 1973 her vehicle was located with evidence indicating Ms. Scales had been physically assaulted in the vehicle.

On February 25th, 1973 after the water level lowered from recent storms Ms. Scales remains were discovered in an Irwindale gravel pit.

A forensic medical examination determined she was a Murder victim.
