Reporting Districts and Officers of the City of El Monte, Ca.

The El Monte Police Department has started a new program and we need your help to make it work.  With your help, we are going to improve the quality of life in your neighborhood and reduce crime.  Our main goal is to make El Monte a safer and better place to live for our residents and business community.
El Monte I.M.P.A.C.T. (Improving and Maintaining Public Awareness and Community Teamwork) is a program implemented by Police Chief Ken Weldon.  The program involves assigning police officers to small geographical areas of the City called “Reporting Districts” or "R.D.'s".  Our City is divided into sixty-six different "Reporting Districts".  Each R.D. consists of several square city blocks.
A police officer has been assigned to each R. D. and will be in charge and responsible for their area.  Officers are encouraged to get to know the residents and business persons in their RD by having small community meetings and designating Block Captains. 
The program addresses quality of life issues in the City of El Monte.  You will now have your own personal police officer to help you solve long term problems in your neighborhood, keep your community safer, and assist with beautification efforts.
With your assistance, we will work together and improve our City by making it a better place for our children and families.
